My son and my nephew (my brother’s son), were born 5 days apart, and so not surprisingly, their development and milestones has been running somewhat parallel. And so, whether its toys to play with or brands to avoid, books to read or activities to try, we lean on each other for recommendations and impromptu reviews.
We had been talking about getting the Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo from about the time our little one turned 4 and half months but procrastinated on it, eventually forgetting. So one day while video chatting with my brother, I saw my little nephew bouncing around in the jumperoo in the background seeming to have a blast. So we soon as we got off our call, I headed over to Amazon, and order our little guy his own.
Our little one definitely enjoys it. From its different toys and activities, to its sounds and vibrant colors, his enjoyment when playing in his jumperoo is so evident and infectious.
Developmentally, he seems to now have a constant desire to be on his feet (with some help from mom and dad of course), and you can definitely tell their has been muscle development in his legs.
And if you need your hands free for a bit without worrying about your little one getting into things, the Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo also just a cool spot to have him in while you work around the room (maybe you’re cleaning, sending some quick work emails or making his bottle).
We do have a small place and it does take up space depending what room it’s in. But this might not be an issue depending on how much room you have in your place or where you intent to have it.
Because of its size, you also just can’t easily pack it up and take it to grandma’s for the after. I guess you could, but might be too much work for a quick trip to visit friends or family for the day.
Final Score: 4.5/5
The Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo was a great buy for us and something we use a few times a day. Like anything that requires assembly, follow instructions and never leave your child unsupervised, and you and your little one will love it.
